Job Description

Description We are seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative / Medical Scheduler to join a busy healthcare team for a 3-month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and customer service within a healthcare setting. ?

EPIC EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Recent hands-on EPIC experience is a non-negotiable requirement for this role. Candidates must be proficient with EPIC scheduling and patient registration workflows. Applications without EPIC experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities

+ Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.

+ Coordinate referrals and provider schedules to ensure efficient patient access.

+ Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations.

+ Accurately register patients and update demographic information.

+ Ensure proper patient identification and medical record assignment.

+ Obtain and document required patient information.

+ Support physicians, clinical staff, and patients with scheduling needs.

+ Respond to patient inquiries while providing outstanding customer service.

+ Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

+ Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure seamless patient care. Requirements Must have recent EPIC experience Previous experience as a:

+ Patient Access Representative

+ Medical Scheduler

+ Patient Services Representative

+ Registration Specialist

+ Experience with insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations

+ Strong customer service and communication skills

+ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

+ Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands

+ High level of accuracy and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications

+ Hospital, specialty clinic, or physician office experience

+ Knowledge of medical terminology

+ Experience working in a high-volume healthcare environment
