Clinical Operations Coordinator - School Health Services Backstage Health San Diego, CA Job Details Part-time $18.50 - $20.00 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Free parking 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications School experience Google Workspace Medical office experience Attention to detail Clinic administrative experience Full Job Description Backstage Health is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Clinical Operations Coordinator to support the daily coordination of our school-based health services throughout California. This position works closely with nurses, families, school teams, and community healthcare providers to help ensure student cases are scheduled, tracked, documented, and completed on time. Responsibilities Assign and distribute student assessment cases to providers based on location, availability, travel efficiency, and case needs Coordinate IEP meeting coverage and assign meetings to available nurses Communicate with parents/guardians, nurses, school teams, and outside healthcare providers Schedule student appointments and follow up on pending cases Track assessment deadlines, IEP meeting dates, and case progress Maintain accurate case notes, status updates, and required documentation Coordinate nurse schedules, travel routes, and overnight assignments as needed Follow up on missing forms, records, signatures, screening results, and other required documents Contact clinics, pediatric offices, optometry practices, audiology providers, and other community partners to coordinate services Arrange outside provider appointments Identify scheduling or documentation issues and escalate them as needed Support daily clinical operations and special projects Qualifications Strong organizational and follow-up skills Professional written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines Strong attention to detail Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and text Proficient with Google Workspace and web-based systems Ability to handle confidential student and health information appropriately Healthcare, medical office, school, special education, scheduling, or case coordination experience preferred
