Job Description

OperationsSUPERVISOR
Chief Operating Officer (COO) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Under the directions of the department supervisors: Book and schedule paratransit appointments using computerized scheduling system. This process includes the following steps:- Reservations
- Taking customer trip requests, scheduling the trip, or, if the request does not easily fit onto a schedule, placing the trip in the program's "holding pen" to be scheduled at a later time. If the request must be denied, record the trip denial in the computer database.
- Scheduling
- Assigning reserved trips to buses in a manner to produce efficient daily paratransit schedules.
- Optimization
- Performed by one scheduler during an assigned period, reviewing the next day's schedules for all buses, placing trips in holding into the schedule whenever possible, and, when possible, reassigning previously-scheduled trips to optimize service performance. Print following day's schedules after optimization.
- Customer Call-Backs
- Calling to advise customers whose trips were in holding of the status of their trips or to notify passengers if their pick-up time must be changed.
- Database maintenance
- Maintaining computerized scheduling system database, including client database, daily bookings, daily schedules, ADA trip designation, no-shows, cancellations, and trip denials.
