Job Description

Overview:
Evergreen is hiring for a part-time Hospitality/Operations Assistant at its Stamford location. This role combines a variety of daily experiences: hospitality with seniors + monitoring doorways for security and safety + room setup. The Assistant will gain valuable experience interacting with older adults who have mild cognitive or physical impairment. The Assistant must display a high level of empathy, strong communication skills, adaptability and professionalism. The Assistant must be able to lift approximately 15 pounds while transporting tables and chairs from our main room to storage each day, and be willing to lend a hand to other Evergreen staff as requested.
Duties:
Monitor door entrances and exits, greeting members and families during arrival/departure Re-direct seniors from wandering outside, monitoring high-risk individuals Furniture set up in the morning and storage in the afternoon Monitor deliveries and announce guests Observe for any conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards Respond to emergency situations Provide assistance to seniors and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Skills:
Working knowledge of security and safety protocols Ability to engage with seniors; outstanding verbal communications Ability to lift approximately 15 pounds with ease Teamwork, interest in learning new things, attention to detail Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus Experience in a hospitality/customer service setting is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma 18 years of age or older Security experience preferred Be able to pass a drug screen Successfully pass a background check that includes personal references, criminal history, employment & education verification, DMV check and credit check if applicable Have access to reliable transportation
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
