ob description: Company Overview Advanced Home Health Care Agency(AHHCA) is a licensed, Medicaid and Medicare certified agency dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive home health services. Located in West Hartford, CT, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and professional support. Advanced Home Health Care Agency is seeking a dedicated and organized Care Team Assistant to provide administrative and scheduling support to our clinical staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring excellent customer service and coordinating clinician schedules to meet agency and patient needs efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and prioritize clinician schedules to meet patient care needs. Maintain and adjust staff schedules on a daily basis as needed. Support clinical staff through effective scheduling and coordination. Utilize knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations as they relate to scheduling and patient services. Obtain medicaid prior authorizations in a timely manner. Assist with administrative duties including typing, filing, scanning, faxing, and preparing reports and medical records. Communicate professionally with patients, referral sources, clinicians, and the public. Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of Home Health Care experience preferred. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations is preferred. Medical terminology knowledge preferred. Previous office experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, referral sources, and the public.
