Job Description

General Description:
The operations coordinator interfaces with Production, Quality, Maintenance, to develop and implement optimized production and delivery schedules. These plans must meet changing customer requirements and yet provide enough response time to manufacturing and suppliers without a significant increase in inventory, waste, and efficiency reduction.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities: Analyze internal and external customer requirements and schedule appropriate production to achieve expectations. Maintain up to date customers' forecast data to optimize scheduling and foresee peaks in demand. Issue weekly production schedule. Analyze scheduling and shipping issues make necessary shipping adjustments. Verify accuracy of customer schedules. Propose schedule changes to plant management. Track orders to achieve required on time delivery goals. Monitor finished goods inventory accuracy and audit production order reporting. Identify potential product shortages; communicate shortages to accounting. Reconcile inventory errors & shortages. Maintain/update Freezer Inventory. Adjust outbound trucks based on customer orders and product availability Communicate any issues with orders and propose resolutions to customers. Ensure accuracy of BOLs and collect all BOLs after product has been shipped. Identify flour needs and issue flour schedule, request flour purchase orders place with vendor. Identify cost effective carriers and schedule FTL and LTL pick-ups. Process customer's orders using NetSuite. Report production into NetSuite. Prepare daily shipping schedule. Invoice shipped products to the customers in timely manner. Complete operations reports accurately and in a timely manner. Verify carrier's invoices. Attend weekly production meetings. (Supervisor Meeting, Walmart, KPI).
Food Safety Responsibilities:
Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner following prescribed procedures. Report food safety problems to a supervisor or manager.
Safety Responsibilities:
Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times, following all safety policies, procedures, and rules. Report unsafe observations or conditions to a supervisor or manager. Immediately report an injury or accident to a supervisor or manager. Meet all company requirements for training, including Fire Safety, Bloodborne Pathogen Program, Emergency Preparedness Plan, etc.
Social Responsibilities:
Uphold the Company's labor standards, health and safety, environmental programs and follow business ethics policies. Skills Requirements Clear and efficient communication. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Follow instructions properly. Complete tasks on time. Well organized. Accurate and detailed oriented Properly prioritize issues and take personal accountability to make sure all assigned tasks fit the core value of "excellence." Promote company culture. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in BA in technical discipline or equivalent. Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet/Intranet) Strong organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods (6-8 hours). Frequent computer use with repetitive hand/wrist movement. Occasional walking throughout office and manufacturing areas. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (files, boxes, laptops, etc.). Ability to safely enter production areas when needed, following PPE guidelines. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
