We have played a key role in delivering landmark projects across Florida, from airports and seaports to commercial and government developments. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Party Chief with strong civil construction experience to join our growing team. Position Summary The Party Chief is responsible for leading field surveying operations, ensuring accurate layout and data collection for construction projects. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with project teams to support successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage survey crews in daily field operations Perform construction layout for civil projects including utilities, roadways, grading, and structures Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications Ensure accuracy of survey data using GPS, Total Stations, and other survey equipment Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Engineers to support project needs Maintain survey equipment and ensure proper calibration Document field data, prepare reports, and verify as-built conditions Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Party Chief in civil construction Strong knowledge of construction surveying, layout, and grade checking Proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, and data collectors (Trimble, Leica, or similar) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong leadership and communication skills High attention to detail and problem-solving ability Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Experience with heavy civil, utilities, and roadway projects Familiarity with survey software (Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, etc.) OSHA certification (preferred but not required) What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable) Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement
