Job Description

ADVON Corporation is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our construction team in the Tallahassee, FL. ADVON is an industry-leading provider of general contracting and design-build services for the federal government across the Southeast region of the United States. Performing heavy civil and vertical construction, our teams build unique structures and infrastructure. Our Customer base includes NASA, The Veterans Administration, and the Department of Defense. www.advonconstruction.com Primary Duties Provide document administration for all phases of the construction process, including RFIs, ASIs, Submittals, and Closeout Documentation, and other document coordination. Provide administrative support to the Project Management Team. Provide subcontract administration including coordinating, distributing, and tracking contracts, subcontractor documentation and change orders. Create reports for use by our management staff. Attend meetings, produce, and distribute meeting minutes. Assist with the solicitation of bids from subcontractors. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills are required for this position. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work with Project Manager(s), Superintendent(s) and business associates. Skilled in the use of Construction Document Control software desired. A minimum of 2 years of construction experience and a proven track record in government construction experience is desired.
