EXPERIENCED

Surgery Scheduler to share responsibility for all aspects of scheduling and coordinating surgeries for five surgeons. Insurance/Coding experience a definite plus but not required!

Job responsibilities to include:

Scheduling all surgeries at hospitals and surgery centers Obtaining authorizations for all surgeries Verifying patient benefits Submitting appropriate documents to insurance for authorization Coordinating all pre-surgical clearances Completing and sending all required documentation for scheduled surgeries Collecting surgery prepayments by calculating the amount due from the patient based on deductibles, copayments, coinsurance. CPT and diagnosis coding of surgical procedures. Applicant must have the ability to work independently with extreme accuracy and attention to detail, strong communication and customer service skills, and computer proficiency.
