A Scheduler or Operations Coordinator provides scheduling and logistical support for an office, company or organization. May specialize in scheduling required for production or for administrative work.
ServIT is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations & Offerings Specialist to lead security incident investigations, mature our internal cybersecurity capabilities, and help develop and enhance our managed security service offerings. This role combines hands-on technical security operations with customer-facing advisory work and service development. The ideal candidate has experience in MSP environments, MDR/EDR platforms, incident response, compliance frameworks, and translating cybersecurity best practices into scalable, marketable services.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations & Incident Response Manage escalations from Huntress and other security platforms. Investigate, contain, remediate, and document security incidents. Serve as the primary escalation point for security-related NOC tickets. Conduct root-cause analysis and provide remediation recommendations. Improve detection rules, alert quality, and response processes. Cybersecurity Program Maturity Develop and maintain incident response playbooks. Enhance vulnerability management processes and reporting. Create and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. Define and track cybersecurity KPIs and operational metrics. Support internal security initiatives and security hygiene improvements. Managed Security Services Development Refine ServIT's EDR/MDR offerings and delivery standards. Build service documentation, SOPs, onboarding processes, and SLAs. Develop repeatable cybersecurity assessment and remediation processes. Identify upsell opportunities and enhancements within existing customer accounts. Evaluate and optimize security tools and vendor relationships. Compliance & Cyber Insurance Advisory Assist customers with cyber insurance security questionnaires. Perform security control reviews and gap assessments. Provide guidance aligned with
NIST CSF, CIS
Controls, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other common frameworks. Help customers improve security posture and readiness for compliance requirements. Customer Engagement Present findings and recommendations to clients. Participate in security posture reviews and QBRs. Support account managers and leadership during customer conversations. Translate technical security findings into business-focused recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
Experience 3-7 years of cybersecurity operations, MDR, SOC, incident response, or MSP security experience. Experience working with SMB and mid-market environments. Proven experience investigating security incidents from detection through remediation. Technical Skills Strong experience with Huntress, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, or similar platforms.
