Full Job Description In this role, you will coordinate air and ocean shipments, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of transportation workflows, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve complex logistics challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Customer Service:
Provide professional service and support to clients via phone and email.
Freight Quoting:
Calculate and provide accurate rate quotes to customers for domestic ocean and air shipments.
Partner & Carrier Coordination:
Direct work with ocean and air carriers, trucking companies, customs brokers, warehouses, and domestic/overseas agents.
Tracking & Reporting:
Monitor shipment status and provide ongoing tracking updates and reports to clients.
Data Entry & Financial Inputs:
Input data for arrival notices, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and operational reports.
File Closing & Documentation:
Generate all required shipping documentation and process transaction closings and final reports.
Office Support:
Assist with general administrative and office tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Industry Experience:
Proven experience in freight forwarding or a related logistics field is preferred.
Systems & Operations:
Familiarity with 3PL operations and transportation systems; experience in carrier sales or dispatching is a plus.
Domain Knowledge:
Strong overall knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Adaptability:
Ability to work independently, collaborate within a team, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
