Job Description

You don't need years of experience — or experience in this industry — to be successful in this role. A well-established Quad Cities organization is looking for an up-and-coming administrative professional with the aptitude, personality and drive to grow into a highly versatile member of its administrative team. Maybe you're early in your career and ready for an organization to invest in your development. Maybe you have some administrative, customer service or office experience and know you're capable of more than your current role allows. Or maybe you've already built a solid foundation and are looking for a position where you can broaden your skills. In any case, this organization is interested in potential, learning ability and initiative — not simply finding someone who already checks every box. The Opportunity You'll join an administrative team that is intentionally being built around cross-training, shared knowledge and development . Initially, you'll learn and support many of the team's foundational administrative and transactional responsibilities. As you gain knowledge and confidence, you'll have opportunities to cross-train in additional functions and take on greater ownership.
Responsibilities may include:
Transactional and accounting-related administrative support Incoming mail, email and document processing Phone and reception coverage Scanning, attachments and electronic document management Data entry and administrative activities within internal systems Claims intake, documentation and administrative follow-up Correspondence with internal and external contacts Administrative support for multiple team members and departments Maintaining organized and documented processes Cross-training in additional areas as your knowledge develops Why This Opportunity Is Different The organization isn't simply looking for another person to complete a fixed list of administrative tasks. They're building a cross-trained administrative team with greater depth and opportunity for development . The goal is for this person to learn multiple areas of the business and continue expanding their contribution based on their strengths, interests and performance. There isn't a predetermined next title or guaranteed promotion. There is a leader who enjoys developing people, a team structure designed around cross-training, and an opportunity to build skills well beyond where you start. If you've ever thought: "I know I'm capable of more — I just need someone to give me the opportunity to learn it." ...this may be worth exploring. What You Need — and What You Don't You do NOT need insurance industry experience or an extensive administrative résumé. The organization is prepared to teach the right person. What matters more is how you approach your work and how you learn. We're looking for someone who is: Adaptable — able to juggle competing priorities and shift gears when needed Outgoing and confident — comfortable with people, phones and asking questions Dependable — follows through and becomes someone the team can count on Detail-oriented — understands that accuracy matters Tech-comfortable — familiar with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems Curious and resourceful — willing to try, troubleshoot and figure things out A quick learner — listens, takes notes, retains information and becomes increasingly independent Growth-minded — interested in learning more and taking on additional responsibility over time Early-career and developmental candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience in administrative support, customer service, office operations, accounting support, banking/financial services, insurance, claims or another professional environment could translate well — but we're open to a variety of backgrounds.
