• Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Plant Buyer Scheduler to join our manufacturing operations team.

This role is essential in coordinating procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the seamless scheduling of materials and components necessary for production. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in supply chain management, procurement, and inventory control to optimize manufacturing efficiency, reduce lead times, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand planning and manufacturing requirements Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials efficiently using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials, monitor supplier performance, and resolve issues proactively Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to forecast material needs and adjust schedules accordingly Oversee inventory management activities, including inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse coordination Coordinate logistics and transportation arrangements to meet production timelines while minimizing costs Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Ensure compliance with contracts, purchasing policies, and quality standards throughout procurement activities Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier communications Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles and best practices Qualifications Bachelor degree supply in chain management, or related field of study Minimum of 3 years experience in purchasing, planning or engineering Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms Knowledge of MRP systems, inventory management techniques, and demand planning processes Familiarity with supplier management strategies, contracts negotiation, and logistics coordination Experience with warehouse operations and logistics planning is highly desirable Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments and managing supplier relationships Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Candidates possessing these skills will be well-equipped to contribute significantly to our production efficiency and operational success.
