Job Description

Patient Inbound & Scheduling Specialist A growing dental practice in Coeur d'Alene is looking for an energetic, organized, and highly personable Patient Inbound & Scheduling Specialist to join our team. This is a part-time, in-person role built around one major goal: turning patient inquiries into great experiences and booked appointments. You'll be one of the first voices prospective patients hear when they contact the practice. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, follows up instead of letting opportunities fall through the cracks, and gets excited about seeing their performance numbers improve. What You'll Do Answer incoming patient calls quickly and professionally Respond to new patient inquiries and website leads Help patients understand their next steps and get scheduled Identify urgent and same-day dental needs and work to get those patients seen quickly Follow up with patients who called but did not initially schedule Return missed calls and maintain consistent follow-up Gather basic patient information, including reason for the visit and payment/insurance information Coordinate with the front office and clinical team regarding scheduling needs Keep accurate records of calls, leads, follow-ups, and booked appointments Help us continually improve response rates, scheduling rates, and the overall patient experience We Want Someone Who Is confident and comfortable talking on the phone Has strong customer-service and communication skills Is friendly, patient, and professional Can build trust quickly with someone they have never met Is organized and follows through Doesn't get discouraged by an unanswered call or a patient who needs additional follow-up Enjoys working toward goals and tracking personal performance Can stay calm and helpful when someone calls with an urgent dental problem Is comfortable learning new systems and processes Dental experience is welcome, but it is not required. We care much more about communication ability, dependability, attitude, and the willingness to learn. Performance & Bonus Opportunities This is a role where great performance gets noticed. In addition to hourly pay, the position will include opportunities for performance-based bonuses and incentives tied to areas such as strong scheduling performance, successful same-day bookings, responsiveness, follow-up, and other key performance goals. Specific incentive structures are being developed internally, but our goal is to reward team members who consistently produce great results and help more patients get the care they need.
