Job Description

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Strategic Operations Associate to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY
This position will strengthen the organization's ability to translate fiscal and operational goals into coordinated, measurable improvement work. The associate would support Lean Six Sigma projects, fiscal initiative tracking, process documentation, implementation follow through, research, and basic analysis. Help the operational analytics team move projects from identification through implementation and sustainment by supporting data collection and validation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain approved targets, assumptions, milestones, owners, and status for initiatives involving labor, supplies, purchased services, productivity, revenue, or avoided cost. 2. Maintain documentation of expected and realized financial and operational benefits while coordinating validation with Finance and the appropriate operational owner. 3. Support Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control documentation, including charters, stakeholder records, action plans, control plans, and project closeout materials. 4. Monitor assigned actions, communicate routine follow ups, document implementation progress, and support scheduled control checks after changes are introduced. 5. Create current state and future state process maps, procedures, standard work, and implementation guides with input from frontline subject matter experts. 6. Research practices, solutions, and relevant requirements, then prepare concise summaries and option comparisons for review. 7. Compile data, perform introductory Excel analysis, and summarize trends under the guidance of the operational analytics team. 8. Collect initial information for improvement requests, clarify the stated problem and desired outcome, and maintain the central project inventory. 9. Prepare concise project updates that connect progress, barriers, measures, and expected organizational impact. 10. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
High School Graduate. Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Business Management, Analytics and/or Data Management preferable. Current college level student with appropriate experience will be considered.
Experience:
Prior experience with project management in healthcare, operations, analytics, process mapping and performance measurement strategy.
