Health CareMountain View Hospital is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY
The scheduler coordinator arranges for the efficient and orderly scheduling of procedures ordered by the physician; coordinates schedules with physicians and facilities, prepares and completes all necessary patient consent forms, hospital orders, obtains doctor's signatures, and works closely with authorization specialist.

QualificationsEducation/Certification:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience:
At least three months gastroenterology or other clinical related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic Medical Terminology preferred.
Equipment/Technology:
Ability to use hospital information system, and operate basic computer functions and software, and fax/copier/scanners.
Language/Communication:
Demonstrates great ability to communicate effectively with providers, management, staff, and patients. Ability to read and interpret documents such as clinical notes and physician orders, as well as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to patients, their families, referring offices, insurance companies, diagnostic facilities, surgical facilities via phone, fax, computerized ordering systems and in person.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Mental Capabilities:
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Employee must possess the ability to calmly and efficiently deal with problems.
Interpersonal:
Must be approachable and work well with others.
