Know Your Team:
Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care. Responsibilities Responsible for booking the daily Cath Lab/IR schedule, utilizing the scheduling policy. Schedules cases according to the resources available, such as equipment, beds, and instrumentation. Coordinates cases with anesthesia, radiology, Diagnostic Interventional Services, Cancer Center, or respiratory therapy, and booking in the appropriate computer program area. Notifies the manufacturer representatives that cases are booked that require their equipment or supplies. Validates physician vacation time on a quarterly/weekly basis to ensure that unused surgical times are released to all physicians. Verifies that inpatient/outpatient cases are booked appropriately according to the CMS guidelines. Performs reception and secretarial needs.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Completion of a medical secretarial training course or equivalent previous medical office experience.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
