Scheduling & Operations Specialist PM Music Center —
Aurora, Illinois Compensation:
Approximately $26/hour About the Position PM Music Center is looking for a highly organized, resourceful person to join our team as Scheduling & Operations Specialist (SOS). This position will initially report to the President of the company. The SOS will help keep PM Music moving by coordinating several important parts of our business, including school events and instrument repairs. The job is to know what is coming, what needs to happen next, who needs to be involved—and to follow through until it gets done. What You'll Do Schedule School Fittings, Sign-Ups & Events Maintain the master calendar for school fittings, rental sign-ups and other activities. Coordinate scheduling, staffing, instruments, equipment and supplies. Watch for conflicts, busy periods and resource constraints. Adjust schedules as circumstances change and communicate changes promptly. Follow up before events to make sure preparations are complete. Maintain historical event information to help with future planning. Coordinate Instrument Repairs Track repairs from arrival through estimate, approval, completion and return. Help establish priorities and expected completion dates. Watch for delays and make sure customers and staff receive timely updates. Identify bottlenecks and help keep repairs moving. Maintain accurate information about outstanding repairs, turnaround times and repair volume. Maintain School Information & Reporting Maintain accurate school census and related information. Track rental activity and prepare regular performance reports. Prepare prior-year and post-event information for school rental sign-ups. Provide rental and performance information as needed. General Operations Support Help answer questions, troubleshoot problems and make sure issues get to the right person. Follow up on customer and school matters requiring additional action. Help coordinate information and priorities across the company. Assist with school-program administration and other operational projects as assigned. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Is highly organized and detail-oriented. Has strong follow-through and likes getting things across the finish line. Can keep track of a lot of moving pieces and know what matters most. Communicates clearly and works well with others. Is comfortable asking questions and following up when something hasn't been done. Can be persistent without being difficult. Anticipates problems and has good judgment. Is comfortable with calendars, spreadsheets, reports and business software. Experience in scheduling, operations, customer service, logistics, school administration or a similar coordination role preferred.. Experience in music or music education is welcome, but not required. We provide instrument rentals, sales, repairs, lessons and support to school music programs throughout the area. Pay:
From $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
