Duties Operate material handling equipment such as conveyors, loaders, and tankers to move grain efficiently throughout the facility Perform manual handling tasks including loading and unloading grain using forklifts and other machinery while adhering to safety protocols Conduct routine equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operation of machinery and prevent downtime Monitor grain levels, quality, and storage conditions to maintain product integrity and safety standards Follow strict safety procedures during all operations, including heavy lifting, machine operation, and food processing standards Assist with grain sampling, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry regulations Support overall facility operations by coordinating with farming partners and ensuring timely movement of materials Qualifications Prior experience in the milling industry or grain handling environment is highly preferred Strong background in agriculture or farming practices is advantageous Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, or tankers Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and manual labor in a manufacturing setting Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols at all times Familiarity with food processing or manufacturing processes related to grain or food production is a plus Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with material handling equipment operation required Understanding of equipment maintenance routines and safety standards in heavy machinery operation Join us as a Grain Elevator Operations Specialist where your skills will drive operational excellence!
