Job Description
Join Our Team as a Production Scheduler! The planner/Scheduler will be responsible for the daily planning and scheduling activities of production operations at PetDine LLC. This role involves close Collaboration with the operations team to create an efficient and effective production schedule that meets both output goals and customer service requirements. This position demands a hands-on, daily presence within the facility to coordinate and communicate all aspects of the production schedule. This includes assuring all packaging supplies and raw materials are present for production schedules. This role works closely with Supply Planning, Quality Assurance Manager, Customer Service Representatives, Commercial Team, and plant leadership to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve customer service metrics (OTIF) through scheduling performance management and proper finished goods management. Work with commercial team to ensure priorities are being met or when production is constrained, tradeoffs are discussed and resolved Collaborate with shift managers to assure an efficient and effective schedule to deliver >90% adherence, 100% schedule attainment, and customer service requirements Manage and review production tickets Adjust schedules as necessary given production output Maintain Schedule ship dates on orders by reviewing expected ship dates and communicating with customer service on date changes Participate in Weekly S&OE meetings by providing updates and capacity outlook Executing short and medium term capacity plan Identify and contribute to projects that improve timeliness and fill rate to customers to improve fill rate to >70% Work with material planning team and purchasing to make sure the right materials are procured at the right time Work closely with warehouse team to ensure staging of materials in a timely manner without material errorsEssential Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent 3-5 years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with MS office products Experience using Oracle or other systems like SAP or o9 (preferred) Proven knowledge of manufacturing principles and material flow Data oriented in order to make informed recommendations Ability to analyze information to understand capacity and conflicting demand to prioritize production Strong internal and external customer focus with great follow-up Ability to work well in a team and internal stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skill Strong attention to detail and critical thinkingJob Type:
