Grain & Agriculture Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Grain Laborer to assist with the daily operations of a grain facility. This position involves loading and unloading grain, maintaining grain-handling equipment, keeping work areas clean, and assisting with general grain elevator and harvest operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, around heavy equipment, and in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading grain from trucks, grain bins, conveyors, and other grain-handling equipment. Monitor grain flow and assist with the operation of conveyors, augers, grain legs, and related equipment. Perform general cleanup around grain bins, pits, receiving areas, and facility grounds. Assist with grain sampling, grading, and moisture testing as needed. Help maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the facility. Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs of grain-handling equipment. Operate skid steers, forklifts, tractors, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized. Assist truck drivers and facility personnel during grain receiving and loading operations. Follow all company safety procedures and grain-handling safety requirements. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work safely around moving equipment, grain dust, trucks, and heavy machinery. Assist with seasonal harvest activities and extended hours when needed. Perform other general labor duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous agricultural, grain elevator, construction, warehouse, or general labor experience is preferred but not required. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours during harvest. Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow established procedures. Ability to work around grain dust and industrial equipment. Valid driver's license preferred. Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, tractors, or other equipment is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work at elevated heights. Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and outdoor environments. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and climb for extended periods. Ability to safely perform manual labor around heavy machinery. Schedule This position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended hours during harvest season . Flexibility is important due to changing weather conditions, grain deliveries, and seasonal workload.
