$20•21.42 Job Summary The Material Coordinator will support warehouse and distribution operations by coordinating material flow, directing picking activity, and ensuring accurate, on ? time order fulfillment for the largest department on 2nd shift. This role plays a key part in daily operations and will assist with the implementation of a new SAP/EWM system. The position requires strong attention to detail, system accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast ? paced, team ? oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be on their feet for the majority of the shift. Metatarsal footwear is required starting on day one. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and rollout of the SAP/EWM system within the PDC. Act as the Material Coordinator for the largest department on 2nd shift, ensuring smooth daily operations. Direct and coordinate picker activities to ensure accurate and timely order delivery. Utilize warehouse management systems to monitor picking progress and update order status. Identify and resolve issues such as missing items, damaged goods, inventory discrepancies, or system errors to minimize delays. Track productivity and performance metrics, reporting results to supervisors and recommending process improvements. Perform system transactions primarily within Deere's mainframe/menu ? driven systems, including DNS (Dealer Network System) and WCS. Use Microsoft Excel on an occasional basis for tracking and reporting. Assist coworkers during slower periods to support overall productivity. Train as a backup to ensure coverage for all departmental responsibilities. Operate a John Deere ? owned Cushman on the shop floor after successful completion of training. Required Skills & Qualifications High level of data entry speed and accuracy with the ability to stay focused for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and consistent, reliable attendance. Experience with inventory systems, warehouse tools, or AS400 is highly preferred. Ability to troubleshoot inventory and system ? related issues. Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to support a department of approximately 50 employees on 2nd shift. Self ? motivated and team ? oriented, willing to assist others during downtime. #INDEPI #LI-LS1
