Nursing Scheduler Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Schedule nursing staff according to the facility's needs and staffing requirements Coordinate with nursing units to ensure adequate staffing levels and make adjustments as needed Monitor staffing levels and patient acuity to optimize nurse-to-patient ratios Develop and implement effective scheduling strategies to minimize overtime and reduce costs Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduling data and staff availability Communicate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes Maintain all nursing hours in payroll system.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 0-2 years of experience in a similar scheduling or nursing role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
