Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Controller / Senior Project Scheduler to support project planning, scheduling, cost control, and project execution activities for a major manufacturing client.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage complex project schedules using Microsoft Project . Maintain Level 2/CPS schedules , including task durations, sequencing, dependencies, milestones, and resources. Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) , backward planning, and pull planning techniques. Analyze schedule impacts from scope changes, procurement delays, equipment delivery, staffing, and execution changes. Identify schedule risks and recommend acceleration opportunities. Track project progress, costs, procurement activities, and equipment deliveries. Prepare schedule reports, performance metrics, risk updates, and leadership summaries. Lead weekly schedule review meetings and coordinate with engineering, vendors, contractors, and project teams. Support project cost forecasting, spending reviews, WBS assignment, and cost validation. Maintain issue logs and project tracking reports. Support project funding packages, sourcing activities, and project documentation. Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, and engineering documents . Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedule and cost performance.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. 7+ years of project scheduling/project controls experience. Expert-level Microsoft Project experience - Mandatory. Strong knowledge of CPM, milestone management, and project controls . Experience with Touchplan or LEAN scheduling . Strong understanding of procurement and equipment delivery tracking. Experience with project costing, forecasting, and cost optimization. Strong SAP knowledge for reporting and spend management. Experience working with engineering firms, vendors, contractors, and project teams. Experience in manufacturing/process industries is preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
