The Women's Health Group is seeking an organized, dependable Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical care for our OB/GYN physicians. This non-clinical position plays an important role in helping patients feel informed and prepared while keeping surgery scheduling accurate and timely. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, pays close attention to details, and follows through on outstanding tasks. You will work closely with patients, physicians, clinical staff, and hospital scheduling teams. Responsibilities Schedule surgeries and coordinate dates, physician availability, and facility requirements. Obtain insurance authorizations and precertifications before scheduled procedures. Confirm required documentation and signed consents are complete. Communicate scheduling details and preparation instructions to patients as directed by the clinical team. Schedule preoperative and postoperative appointments. Respond promptly to patient calls, messages, and scheduling questions. Maintain accurate records and manage daily tasks in ModMed and Klara. Resolve scheduling or documentation issues with hospital and facility staff. Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Provide additional scheduling support as needed. Qualifications and skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Clear, professional written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion. A compassionate, respectful approach to patient service. Comfort using computers, electronic medical records, and scheduling systems. Medical office, surgery scheduling, or insurance authorization experience preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and OB/GYN care is helpful. Our surgery scheduler works with our clinical and business office teams to support coordinated, patient-centered care and reports directly to the Billing Office Manager.
