We're the team behind Westen Champlin, one of the largest automotive entertainment channels on YouTube. Between building ridiculous vehicles, filming videos, maintaining our properties, and keeping our shop running, there's never a dull moment around here. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Assistant / General Laborer who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and can help with just about anything. This is an all-around, hands-on position. One day you might be moving vehicles and pulling trailers, the next you could be mowing, changing oil, detailing cars, or helping our mechanics with a project. We're looking for someone who can show up, figure out what needs to be done, and get it done without having to be told twice. What You'll Be Doing Moving, organizing, and transporting vehicles around the shop and property. Hooking up, moving, and towing trailers as needed. Performing basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, checking fluids, and other simple repairs. Washing, detailing, and preparing vehicles for filming, events, and transportation. Mowing grass, weed eating, and performing general property maintenance. Operating equipment such as tractors, skid steers, forklifts, and other machinery (with appropriate training). Keeping the shop, yard, and work areas clean and organized. Loading, unloading, and moving parts, tools, equipment, and materials. Running errands, picking up parts, and making deliveries. Assisting mechanics and other team members with various projects. Tackling whatever other tasks come up throughout the day. What We're Looking For Someone who is hardworking, dependable, and willing to do whatever needs to be done. A self-starter who can recognize what needs attention and take initiative. Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform simple vehicle maintenance. Experience driving trucks and towing trailers. Comfortable operating or willing to learn how to operate equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and skid steers. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to perform physically demanding work, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Bonus Points Experience working in an automotive shop, on a farm, in construction, or in a similar hands-on environment. Experience towing large trailers, including gooseneck and enclosed trailers. Experience operating tractors, skid steers, forklifts, or other heavy equipment. Basic mechanical or automotive repair experience.
