Description:

We are in need of an assistant in our machine shop who will help us to cover all of the different tasks which help our in-house machine shop to operate. From sourcing material and processing internal orders, to helping with packing, logistics, and even covering on machines, this role is very diverse and requires a person who is organized and can handle many different types of tasks.

Your responsibilities:

Work with our ERP system to process internal orders for machined parts Purchasing tasks including material and tool sourcing Setting up surface treatment with vendors and logistics to and from vendor Packing material and supporting logistics of material to assembly shop Supporting machines, including filling in on machines as needed Quality and quantity checks on material or finished components Other tasks as required by management

Requirements:

Previous proven experience working in a machine shop Ability to manage priorities and time to complete tasks Detail and quality oriented Technical appreciation and understanding of machinery and mechatronic components Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills both internally and externally Must be available to work from our facility in Hebron, KY (relocation not provided) Must be able to work in a team environment, independently or with minimal direction
