Job Requirements The Process Management Engineer (Production Scheduler) coordinates integrated production plans and information to support reliable output, inventory control, and on-time customer delivery with a high degree of independence and technical leadership. The role works across HPLS functions and external partners to deliver safe, compliant, timely, and sustainable results during project execution and ongoing operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and adjust production schedules, work orders. Monitor inventory levels, production performance. Ensure on-time delivery and support data entry. Develop short- and medium-term production schedules based on demand, capacity, material availability, maintenance, and logistics constraints. Create and maintain work orders, production priorities, inventory targets, and schedule changes. Monitor plan attainment, bottlenecks, inventory, yield, downtime, and delivery risk. Coordinate daily with production, maintenance, quality, sales, procurement, and logistics. Analyze schedule variance and lead recovery planning and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate planning master data, reports, and planning-system transactions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field. At least 6 years of relevant professional experience; level and scope will be calibrated to demonstrated capability. Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, analyze information, document work, and collaborate across functions. Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and job-relevant enterprise or technical systems. Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively in a multicultural environment. Preferred Qualifications Production planning experience in steel, metals, automotive, or continuous-process manufacturing. ERP/MRP, advanced planning, MES, or scheduling-system experience. Strong Excel, data analysis, and visualization capability. This position requires on-site work and is not eligible for remote work. Work is primarily performed at the Baton Rouge location and may include office, construction, commissioning, and/or operating-plant environments depending on assignment. Must be able to comply with site PPE, security, and safety requirements; travel between HPLS locations and vendor, partner, or project sites may be required.
