Job Description
MATRIX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our dynamic team to support nuclear power plant operations and project execution. This position will provide advanced work planning expertise, develop detailed work packages, support the installation and replacement of plant systems, and help identify and resolve equipment and system issues.

Killona, LAESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Provide advanced knowledge and experience to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
- Develop Work Packages utilizing Maximo and/or other asset management software.
- Provide Work Planning support and/or management of Work Planning support for installation and replacement of various systems.
- Provide technical expertise and/or management of technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
- Direct and guide other Planners in their work.
- Lead and direct the work of others, with primary duties to customarily and regularly direct the work of two or more other employees, including but not limited to more junior staff in employee's discipline; make substantive recommendations to MATRIX as to the hiring, firing or discipline of employees.
- Perform primarily office and non-manual work.
- Perform work related to the management or general business operations of MATRIX or its customers/clients, while exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to MATRIX and its customers/clients.
- Interface with managers or head of a unit/department requiring the integration of multiple functional organizations.
- Use "lessons learned" to improve quality of MATRIX's future projects; make recommendations to MATRIX as to the implementations of future policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of experience in power plant operations or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of 10 years planning experience required or equivalent military experience.
- Nuclear experience is required.
- Proficiency in Maximo or other asset management software.
- The ability to communicate well both verbally and written as a business necessity to ensure the safe and efficient operations of business.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- The employee is self-motivated and has a willingness to learn.
- Has extensive knowledge of nuclear applications.
- Excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical applications.
- Possess excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge or applicable industry codes and regulations.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Able to handle high paced work environment.
- The ability to communicate well with customers and other MATRIX and customer/client employees.
- Must be dependable.
- Must have proficient computer skills.
