RN SURGERY SCHEDULER
- New Iberia Clinic Must be willing to train in Lafayette
QUALIFICATIONS
: Graduate of a RN/LPN program At least 2 years work history as a surgery scheduler or in a clinical or surgical setting Currently licensed and in good standing (or eligible to be by state date) by Louisiana State Board of Nursing Eligible (no prohibitions) for credentialing under Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance programs Pass basic background check for criminal history, OIG, etc.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITITES
: Candidates will be responsible to review pre-op and post-op instructions with patients, coordinating with outside facilities, scheduling patient appointments to sign consents and requesting cardiac clearances when warranted. Candidates will also assist in the clinic setting when available. Candidates must be familiar with completing surgery consent forms and possess a strong knowledge of medications.
OTHER BASIC SKILLS
Knowledge of EMR / Charting / coding requirements General proficiency working with computers and data analysis Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to work independently when required / appropriate
