NORTH COUNTRY AUCTIONS
Auction Operations Assistant Position Overview North Country Auctions is seeking a highly organized and detail‑driven Auction Operations Assistant to support the accurate identification, evaluation, and cataloging of auction inventory. This role is essential to maintaining the quality, professionalism, and integrity of our auction listings and overall customer experience. The Auction Operations Assistant works hands‑on with equipment, vehicles, tools, and miscellaneous assets to ensure every item is properly documented, photographed, and prepared for sale. Key Responsibilities Item Identification & Evaluation Inspect incoming items to determine type, specifications, features, and overall condition. Verify serial numbers, VINs, model information, and key identifiers. Flag missing components, damage, or discrepancies for management review. Assess items with accuracy to support fair representation and buyer confidence. Photography & Visual Documentation Capture clear, high‑quality photos of each item from multiple angles. Ensure images accurately reflect condition, features, and any notable defects. Follow NCA's internal standards and practices. Writing Detailed Descriptions Produce accurate and easy‑to‑understand item descriptions. Document specifications. Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and terminology across all listings. Ensure descriptions meet NCA's standards for clarity and transparency. Cataloging & Data Entry Enter item information, photos, and descriptions into auction software. Organize lots in proper sequence. Review catalog entries for accuracy before publishing. Assist with corrections, updates, and last‑minute changes as needed. Quality Control & Attention to Detail Double‑check all work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Ensure no item is listed without proper photos, descriptions, or documentation. Maintain a clean, organized workflow to support smooth auction operations. Uphold NCA's reputation for honest, accurate, and professional listings. Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and pride in accuracy. Ability to identify equipment types, components, and features (or willingness to learn). Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment. Strong writing skills and ability to describe items clearly. Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Basic photography skills; ability to follow visual standards. Familiarity with auction or equipment industries is a plus but not required.Job Types:
