Job Overview The Project Scheduler is a critical member of the Project Execution team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing CPM schedules across a portfolio of renewable energy EPC projects. This role works directly under the Director of Project Execution and serves as the scheduling backbone for construction continuity from preconstruction handoff through project closeout. The ideal candidate is a self-driven scheduling professional with deep Primavera P6 expertise and direct experience on utility-scale solar, BESS, or substation EPC projects. Duties Schedule Development & Maintenance Develop, baseline, and maintain detailed CPM project schedules in Primavera P6 for utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and substation EPC projects Build Level 3 and Level 4 construction schedules integrating engineering, procurement, and construction activities Develop and maintain integrated Master Program Schedules for multi-project portfolios, identifying cross-project resource and milestone conflicts Establish activity codes, WBS structures, and calendars consistent with Ryan Company standards and project-specific requirements Perform schedule updates on a weekly and monthly basis; incorporate actual progress and reforecast critical path activities Execution Readiness & Constructability Support Development-to-Execution transition reviews by validating that schedule logic reflects constructability and field sequencing assumptions Coordinate with the Director of Project Execution to confirm procurement and long-lead equipment delivery dates are accurately reflected in construction sequences Validate labor loading, crew plans, and equipment utilization are consistent with schedule assumptions and estimate basis Identify scheduling risks and conflicts prior to mobilization; escalate unmitigated risks to the Director of Project Execution Schedule Analysis & Reporting Perform critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis, and float trend monitoring to identify emerging risks to project milestones Develop and distribute weekly and monthly schedule narrative reports to project teams and clients, highlighting status, risks, and recovery opportunities Prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and fragnet analyses in support of change order and claims management Conduct schedule risk assessments using Monte Carlo or comparable probabilistic methods to support contingency planning Support project managers in developing look-ahead schedules (3-week rolling) for field coordination Cross-Functional Collaboration Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, and Field Supervision teams to capture accurate scope and progress data Collaborate with subcontractors to integrate sub-schedules and ensure alignment with the master project schedule Participate in Owner, client, and lender progress meetings; present schedule status and respond to schedule-related inquiries Support development and implementation of schedule recovery plans when milestones are at risk Assist in building and refining internal scheduling standards, templates, and best practices for the Ryan Company scheduling program Experience 5+ years of project scheduling experience on EPC or large-scale construction projects Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (P6 Professional and/or EPPM) — non-negotiable Direct experience scheduling utility-scale solar PV, BESS, or transmission/substation construction projects Demonstrated ability to build integrated CPM schedules from scratch, incorporating engineering, procurement, and construction phases Strong understanding of construction means & methods, including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines as applicable to renewable energy projects Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Excel for schedule data analysis Excellent communication skills with ability to present schedule data clearly to both technical and executive audiences
