Nursing Scheduler

We are seeking a talented Nursing Scheduler/Central Supply to join our esteemed team at South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland. As a key member of our dynamic care team, you will be responsible for maintaining staffing levels, ordering medical supplies, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of our nursing department. South Shore is a 96-bed skilled nursing facility. Weekly pay ranging from $25 to $28 an hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all nursing staff schedules Develop and maintain a master schedule at all times Post staffing schedules 2-4 weeks in advance, minimum Identify staffing problems and take initiative to resolve, communicating with DNS and/or Administrator as needed Update and prepare payroll in ADP for Corporate Bookkeeper on a daily/weekly basis Maintain daily staffing sheets and DPH required staff sheet Collaborate with staff on purchasing of needed supplies Seek opportunities to fill open positions in a manner that limits overtime Ensure adequate levels of nursing supplies are available for staff Stock supplies and compare bills against packing slips to ensure accurate charges Perform other duties assigned by the managerial team

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical, with on-the-job training provided in scheduling and medical terminology CNA license preferred Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer skills Mathematical ability and ability to work harmoniously with other personnel Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc. Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices Ability to follow written and oral instructions Patient, tactful, and cheerful disposition with enthusiasm and ability to handle residents and staff based on their maturity level
