Job Description

Who is Petroleum Management? Petroleum Management Services, Inc. (PMSI) is a veteran-owned petroleum infrastructure company specializing in fuel storage tanks, pumps, and piping systems. We have been serving hospitals, universities, municipalities, data centers, and commercial facilities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island for over 30 years, helping them manage their fuel infrastructure and environmental compliance obligations. Through our wholly owned subsidiary, Bullfrog Environmental Solutions, we also provide licensed hazardous waste transportation and disposal services. The work we do is becoming increasingly important as our nation's aging energy infrastructure struggles to meet modern demands. Our client organizations rely on on-site fueling systems to support critical operations, standby power, and heating. Every one of those systems carries real regulatory and compliance obligations. Keeping those obligations met, on time, and documented is where this role lives. Come join our growing team of professionals as we tackle the interesting challenges facing our unique sector of the energy industry. The Role We are looking for an organized, detail-driven person to join our operations team in a coordination and compliance support capacity. This is a role for someone who wants to be close to the work. You will support our Operations Manager and field team by keeping jobs moving, documentation current, and regulatory requirements tracked and met. The right person takes ownership of the details others overlook, communicates clearly with clients and vendors, and finds satisfaction in running a tight operation. Experience in environmental services, field service coordination, or regulatory compliance is helpful. A genuine interest in learning this industry is required. What You Will Do On the operations side, you will help coordinate field scheduling, keep jobs organized from dispatch through closeout, support our project team with proposal preparation and vendor coordination, and keep our fleet and equipment records current. You will work closely with our field technicians to make sure they have what they need before they arrive on site. On the compliance side, you will maintain regulatory calendars for client facilities, track certification and renewal deadlines for our team and our equipment, support permit and reporting submissions, and assist with documentation requests from institutional clients. A portion of this role supports our hazardous waste transportation operations, which carry their own documentation and regulatory requirements. You will also support client communication and account coordination, handling routine correspondence, preparing compliance reports for review, and helping the team stay ahead of service anniversaries and regulatory deadlines across our client base. What We Are Looking For One to five years of experience in field service coordination, environmental compliance, hazardous waste operations, logistics, or a related role. A degree in environmental science, EHS, business operations, or a related field is welcome but not required if your experience is relevant. Comfort with compliance-oriented work and an understanding that documentation accuracy and deadline adherence are not optional. The ability to manage multiple open items at once without losing detail, and to write clearly and professionally. Proficiency with job management software and standard business tools. Familiarity with Massachusetts environmental regulations or hazardous waste documentation is a plus. OSHA 10 or
