Job Description
Scheduling & Timekeeping Lead (On-site contract) Hemlock, MI For more than 150 years, our client has combined its unparalleled expertise in glass science, ceramics science, and optical physics, along with its deep manufacturing and engineering capabilities, to develop category-defining products that transform industries and enhance people's lives. The client in this area is a solar component manufacturing plant. This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Our client will require proof of status prior to employment.
Purpose of Position:
This role oversees the scheduling and timekeeping teams. The Scheduling Lead directly reports to plant operations manager to execute timelines and goals, as well as direct day to day operations within their respective team. Primary Duties -Ongoing Tasks:
Organize and control daily tasks of scheduling and timekeeping teams to ensure direction is followed. Coordinate ongoing operations, and ensure timelines are met. Ensure time data is complete, accurate, and payroll ready by deadlines. Perform audits and spot checks of time entries and schedules Implement solutions to minor scheduling delays. Engage and motivate team members to accomplish time sensitive objectives. Drive implementation of performance metrics and KPI's.Additional Duties:
Coordinate projects or additional tasks assigned by operations leadership. Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of experience effectively leading teams toward a common objective. Experience working in a timekeeping/scheduling capacity. Experience operating in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of timekeeping and scheduling best practices. Proficient in Excel, Word and other Microsoft products. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals. Ability to respond to unforeseen circumstances with clarity and sound judgment. Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with discretion. Ability to execute multiple workstreams at a given time.
