Job Description

Summary:
The Production Scheduler will perform planning, scheduling and controlling of product orders and processes to maximize utilization of manufacturing resources, including production cells and staffing and assists with outbound logistics to help ensure products are delivered to customers on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Utilize system 21 to analyze production requirements and plant capacity to determine appropriate manufacturing processes, tools, and resource requirements. Develop supply strategies (make to order vs. make to stock) and system 21 planning parameters for manufactured parts Establish and maintain target inventory levels for items manufactured to stock, incorporating the latest information on usage and replenishment times Create and maintain schedules to establish sequence and lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates to customer order requirements using standard manufacturing hours and capacity. Schedule incoming orders to meet customer demands. Utilize system 21 to release daily manufacturing orders scheduled by machine groups. Review actual Production data & incoming order rates and take necessary actions to increase production capabilities or initiate necessary schedule changes. Monitor production performance versus plan and analyze all variations for root cause. Communicate with appropriate departments to resolve findings and improve process. Use MRP to determine inventory levels & availability for new orders. Extract and analyze production data in system 21 to support decision-making. Communicate effectively with all levels of internal/external customers through written, oral, and presentation skills Coordinate with staff, departments, or clients to confirm availability and provide schedule updates. Communicate changes, delays, or issues promptly and effectively. Assist with Preparation of bills of lading, packing slips, customs documents, etc. as needed. Assist with Booking carrier pickups, arrange freight forwarders, and track outbound shipments using logistics software.
