Founded in 2003, as an independent diagnostic testing company, NDS Wellness has become the fastest growing provider in the metropolitan Detroit and tri-county area. We are a multi-specialty group specializing in cardiology, neurology, and radiology testing services to primary care practices. NDS Wellness consists of board certified physicians and a qualified staff that have more than twenty-five years of experience in testing, screening and allied medical services. We provide the highest level of diagnostic testing that offers convenience, and the reliability physicians require for their patients. Position Description NDS is searching for an entry level Medical Scheduler that will assist with some billing responsibilities. We are looking for candidates that want to learn and grow in the industry. The hours for this position are the following: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. To be a successful medical scheduler, you should be very personable and enjoy interacting with patients in a positive way. Schedulers must listen to the needs of the person requesting the appointment in order to determine the amount of time the appointment will require and then find the time that works best for both the patient and the medical professional. Their main duties include planning weekly employee schedules, determining appointment lengths and making phone calls to patients or customers regarding their appointment or meeting times. A Scheduler will serve as the coordinator for schedules and appointments, often between doctors and patients. A Billing Assistant is able organize patient medical costs and send invoices to collect payment from patients and their insurers, enter patient data into administrative systems, and record information about outstanding claims. This person will help the billing team by following up with insurance rejections and communicating with the billing team. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail, and communication skills which allow them to act as a point of communication for questions and relay information to the billing specialists team. This position is responsible for handling the day-to-day activities in the office, speaking on the phone, and scheduling patients. They should be professional and have the ability to manage multiple calls. This person will spend approximately 75% of the their time on the phone. Responsibilities/Duties Answer calls from patients and provide phone coverage as needed. (Phone coverage is around 75% of the position.) Upload ultrasound paperwork so the reading physician can create reports for the doctors offices. Communicate with patients about their outstanding balance. Manage patient information in a billing software database. Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing. Perform administrative tasks such as billing insurance and processing payments. Obtain schedules from doctors offices and enter them into our system. Coordinate appointments with clients and their caregivers for consultation work, evaluations, treatments and follow-up appointments. Document and try to resolve any issues concerning customers who have complaints or feedback for the clinic. Ensure correct details concerning patient data and gather and update patient personal information and insurance information. Assist billing team by following up on insurance rejections. Ability to work well in a team environment. Being able to triage priorities, and handle conflict in a reasonable fashion.
Education Requirements Required:
High school diploma/GED required. Healthcare experience a plus! Experience Requirements Great communication skills on the phone. Some medical billing experience (1 year) Desired Qualities Some medical scheduling experience (1 year) Motivated to learn, can work individually or as part of a team. Responsible. Self-directed self-motivated. Excellent verbal and written communication. Experience using Microsoft office programs. Ability to learn to use new software as required.

Full Time Monda through Friday, (5 days a week), no weekends, no overtime
