This pivotal role involves supervising maintenance teams, coordinating repairs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing facility operations to maintain optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to facilities management, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead maintenance initiatives that support the organization's operational excellence and safety standards. Responsibilities Manage and supervise facilities maintenance teams, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure timely completion of maintenance repair procedures. Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems, plumbing, and low voltage systems. Utilize schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues with mechanical and electrical systems. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC system repair, or industrial maintenance projects. Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations by implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate safety documentation. Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule preventive maintenance, track work orders, manage inventory, and document maintenance activities. Develop and implement facility management procedures aligned with industry standards for electrical systems, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC operations, and overall facilities management. Lead project management efforts for facility upgrades or repairs by planning timelines, managing resources, and coordinating team efforts to meet project goals efficiently. Maintain detailed schematics of mechanical and electrical systems for troubleshooting and future reference. Promote a safety-first culture by training team members on safety regulations and best practices in facilities maintenance management. Experience Proven supervisory experience managing facilities maintenance teams in an industrial or commercial setting. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems troubleshooting, plumbing maintenance, and low voltage wiring. Strong understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including the use of schematics and engineering troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to facilities operations and maintenance activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes. Experience managing CMMS platforms for work order tracking and preventive maintenance planning. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems within industrial environments is a plus.
