  • Description:
  • A Surgery Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

This role serves as a primary liaison between patients, surgeons, physician offices, hospitals, and insurance providers to arrange surgeries, obtain necessary authorizations, verify patient information, and communicate pre-operative instructions.

  • Surgery Scheduler
  • to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care.
  • What You'll Do:
  • + Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.

+ Obtains insurance authorizations and oversees the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.

+ Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.

+ Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.

+ Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.

+ Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.

+ Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent training. Demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions. +

CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE:

None + MINIMUM

EXPERIENCE

1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training, or demonstrated proficient performing all Medical Reception core functions (check in, check out and phones) of equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
