Position Summary:
Assist referring clinics and patients with their requests to schedule a procedure or an office visit appointment. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30 pm. Responsible for pre-registering and scheduling patient medical appointments to the appropriate location and provider in a call center setting.
Essential Functions:
In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and regular attendance is required. The responsibilities listed below are representative of the primary essential functions required; additional duties may be assigned. Receive incoming calls from patients or referring clinics and schedule their office visit or procedure appointment. Make outbound calls to schedule patients who have been referred to our office for a clinic visit or a procedure. Document and verify patient insurance information. Coordinate interpreters for scheduling purposes and appointments. Provide great customer service to internal and external customers. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Customer service experience. Experience with Insurance preferred. Work independently, efficient with time, strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Professional and personal integrity; and maintain high standards of confidentially. Proficiency with computer skills (EMR & Practice Management Software). High school diploma or equivalent.
