Job Description

General Description:
The Master Scheduler position is responsible for reviewing customer requirements then entering and scheduling orders to fulfill those requirements. The overall status of the shop is monitored and reported to relevant departments. This Scheduler has the following essential functions: Running reports in the operating system to report on production Metrics and work load. Provide data for the Operations Manager and suggestions on capacity vs forecast. Reviewing internal and customer requirements in the operating system. Creating new jobs to meet internal and customer requirements. Scheduling new jobs and rescheduling existing jobs as required for demand and forecast. Maintain min., max and re-order points for forecasted parts quarterly. Provide acknowledgments for customer PO's. Assigning material requirements and dates for purchasing. Responsible for solving scheduling conflicts. Updating and maintaining shop floor dispatch. Responsible for communicating any late routings and giving any late estimates. Host the daily production meeting. Follow both verbal instructions and internal procedures that will be taught. Must maintain the highest standards specifically applied by our company for aesthetic values on both manufactured parts and the internal environment. Clean and maintain cleanliness of work area. Maintains constant communication with Supervisor about job progress. Regular and reliable attendance.
Job Requirements:
Successfully complete a criminal background check. Regular and reliable attendance. Flexibility to work overtime/extended hours as business needs dictate.
Work Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Scheduling role for a related industry. Knowledge of supply chains in related industry. Knowledge of manufacturing environments. Knowledge of Material Planning systems. Knowledge of JobBoss operating system a plus. Knowledge of purchasing process a plus. Knowledge of machining a plus. Experience and proficiency with MS Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Education Requirements:
Associates degree in related discipline is strongly preferred.
