We are currently hiring a part-time HR & Payroll Operations Specialist to provide hands-on support across payroll, HR administration, and HR systems as Threadlock Precision continues to build and strengthen its HR infrastructure. Work Location, Schedule, Pay
  • Hybrid located at our St. Louis operation.
  • Part-time position typically 20 - 30 hours/week. There is potential for this role becoming full-time within the next 3-9 months.
  • Day shift.
  • Additional hours may occasionally be required during payroll processing, system implementation, testing, and transition periods.
  • $25-$33/hr.
How You Will Make a Difference Your work will directly support the development of stronger internal HR processes and systems while helping the organization move from a PEO-supported environment to greater internal ownership of payroll, benefits, employee data, and HR administration. Position Summary A key responsibility of this role will be reviewing and verifying payroll information for accuracy prior to payroll processing. The position will also support day-to-day HR administrative activities, including employee records and file management, and will assist with data migration, payroll and benefits configuration, system testing, data validation, and implementation activities of a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system as we transition from our current PEO model to a company-managed HCM platform. Payroll Support & Verification Review and verify payroll information prior to processing, including employee changes, hours, pay rates, deductions, paid time off, and other payroll-related data. Identify payroll discrepancies or missing information and coordinate with appropriate leaders or employees to resolve issues before payroll is finalized. Review new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefit deductions, and other employee changes to ensure they are accurately reflected in payroll. Maintain payroll-related documentation and support payroll reconciliation and reporting as needed. Assist with employee payroll questions and research issues when necessary. HR Administration & Employee Records Create, organize, maintain, and audit employee personnel files and electronic HR records. Ensure required employee documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately maintained. Process and track employee changes, including new hires, terminations, transfers, compensation changes, and other employee updates. Assist with onboarding documentation, benefits administration, employee communications, and other HR-related activities. Provide general administrative support for HR programs, processes, reporting, and compliance activities. HCM Implementation & Data Migration Support the implementation of a new HCM platform, with particular focus on payroll, benefits, and employee data. Assist with extracting, organizing, reviewing, and preparing employee and payroll data for migration from the current PEO environment. Validate migrated employee, payroll, benefits, compensation, deduction, and other HR data for completeness and accuracy. Assist with system configuration, data mapping, testing, parallel payroll activities, and issue tracking. Work with internal stakeholders, the PEO, and the HCM implementation team to resolve data discrepancies and implementation issues. Help ensure employee records, historical information, payroll data, benefit elections, and other required information are successfully transitioned to the new platform. Assist with documenting new payroll and HR processes as responsibilities transition internally. Support post-implementation testing, issue resolution, and stabilization of the new system. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience in payroll, human resources, HR administration, or benefits administration Experience working with HRIS, payroll, or HCM systems. Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications) 5+ years of experience in payroll, human resources, HR administration, or benefits administration Experience supporting an HCM, HRIS, or payroll system implementation. Experience with employee data migration, system testing, or payroll parallel testing. Experience supporting benefits administration. Experience working in a multi-location or multi-entity organization. Skills & Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams internally and externally, and at all levels of an organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Strong ability to work independently with attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, maintain data accuracy, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee, payroll, and benefits information. Pay:
