Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Therapy Scheduler to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will coordinate patient appointments, manage scheduling workflows, and ensure seamless communication between patients, therapists, and administrative staff. Responsibilities Schedule therapy appointments accurately using computerized system, ensuring efficient utilization of provider time and resources Communicate effectively with patients via phone and electronic messaging to confirm appointments, provide instructions, and address scheduling inquiries Maintain up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate appointment times that align with provider availability and patient needs. As you grow, your pay can increase by learning the below task: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing medical records, insurance verification, and managing multi-line phone systems Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and health insurance policies, to facilitate smooth billing and authorization processes Qualifications No prior experience required other than computer literacy. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10-key typing) Ability to review medical documentation thoroughly while maintaining attention to detail and clinical confidentiality. Familiarity with health insurance verification procedures and Medicare guidelines is a big plus for advancement.
