This is a highly visible, floor-focused leadership role. The right person will spend the majority of the day working directly with employees, monitoring progress, setting priorities, addressing obstacles, and keeping the team aligned with production expectations. We are looking for someone who combines strong people leadership with practical mechanical knowledge and who understands how to create accountability without losing the respect of the team. Key Responsibilities Lead and support production employees throughout the workday Set clear daily priorities, expectations, and completion targets Break larger production objectives into manageable daily assignments Monitor progress regularly and address delays before they affect the overall schedule Coordinate labor and assign work based on skill level, workload, and production priorities Assist with weekly production scheduling and lineout planning Maintain a consistent pace of work across the production floor Coach employees on performance, quality, efficiency, and accountability Identify bottlenecks, workflow issues, and opportunities for improvement Work closely with production planning, purchasing, and engineering to resolve shortages or production issues Support troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly problems Monitor workmanship and ensure quality expectations are being met Communicate production status, risks, and staffing needs to management Help develop employees by understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and individual motivators The Person We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be: A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills Comfortable providing frequent direction, feedback, and accountability Organized and capable of managing multiple people and priorities at once Consistent, fair, and dependable Highly engaged and comfortable spending the majority of the day on the production floor Mechanically knowledgeable enough to understand the work being performed Able to evaluate whether delays are caused by legitimate production issues, skill gaps, or poor execution Proactive in identifying problems and driving them toward resolution Calm and decisive under pressure Motivated by results, team development, and continuous improvement Willing to lead by example and maintain high standards for both effort and quality Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable: Manufacturing supervision Agricultural or heavy equipment Mechanical assembly Hydraulics Electrical assembly Fabrication Automotive or diesel repair Production leadership Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate with strong leadership ability, mechanical aptitude, work ethic, and the ability to earn the respect of a production team.
