Job Description

Cybersecurity may be technical, but dependable client protection is built on disciplined operations. Assessments must be scheduled, actions must be recorded, sensitive documents must be controlled and urgent issues must reach the right specialist without delay. We are hiring an Assistant Operations Manager in Fayetteville to help keep that operating system strong. This is a first-step leadership opportunity for someone who is ready to take responsibility for workflow and team standards. You will support the Operations Manager, coordinate the daily work queue and help colleagues deliver a consistent, professional service. You will not be asked to make technical security decisions; qualified cybersecurity professionals retain that responsibility. Five outcomes you will own 1. A clear daily plan . You will review incoming priorities, confirm ownership, identify capacity concerns and keep the team focused on the work that needs attention first. 2. Controlled client delivery . You will coordinate the operational steps around security assessments, monitoring services, remediation follow-ups and recurring client reviews. That includes checking that required information has been received and that deadlines remain visible. 3. Reliable records . You will reinforce accurate status updates, orderly client files and consistent handoffs. When something is missing or unclear, you will resolve the process issue or escalate it rather than allowing assumptions to become part of the record. 4. Supported people . You will run brief check-ins, answer routine process questions, help onboard new team members and provide practical coaching on quality, communication and time management. 5. Timely escalation . You will recognize when an operational issue could affect a client commitment and route it promptly. During a genuine security event, your role is to support coordination, documentation and communication while the technical response remains with the security team. Your decision space The Assistant Operations Manager may allocate routine work, monitor completion, recommend process improvements and address day-to-day service concerns. Changes affecting technical security controls, contractual scope, client risk or formal employee action will be referred to the appropriate manager or specialist. The experience that can translate We are interested in people who have helped lead a shift, work queue, service team or multi-step process. Cybersecurity experience is useful but not required, and a college degree is not essential. You should bring calm communication, sound judgment, confidentiality and the confidence to hold others to an agreed standard respectfully. You should also be comfortable using spreadsheets, shared systems and written procedures. We would rather see credible responsibility and a willingness to learn than a long list of inflated job titles. What development looks like Your first 30 days will center on service workflows, confidentiality, escalation paths and team routines. Over the next 60 days, you will begin leading the daily operating cadence and take ownership of one practical process improvement. Ongoing coaching will focus on people leadership, service delivery and operational decision-making, creating a realistic route toward broader operations responsibility. If you are looking for a stable leadership step where standards are clear, development is practical and your work has a visible effect on clients, apply through Indeed with your current resume.
