  • $60 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications Supplier management Quality assurance Quality control QA/QC Project stakeholder communication Project scheduling Stakeholder management Full Job Description Position Overview ERSG is seeking an experienced Package Expeditor to support the manufacturing, assembly, and testing oversight of critical pump, valve, and actuator packages at a supplier facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The successful candidate will act as the on-site liaison between the project team and manufacturer, ensuring production progress, quality expectations, reporting requirements, and delivery milestones are achieved in line with project schedules. This role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in expediting, rotating equipment, pumps, valves, manufacturing oversight, or supplier quality support within highly regulated industrial environments such as energy, nuclear, oil & gas, power generation, or heavy industrial projects. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing & Expediting Oversight Monitor manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities for pump, valve, and actuator packages Track production progress against project schedules and delivery milestones Identify risks, delays, or bottlenecks and escalate concerns proactively Coordinate with supplier personnel, engineering teams, and project stakeholders to support timely execution Supplier & Site Coordination Attend supplier meetings and provide regular project updates Maintain strong communication between site teams and project management Verify that manufacturing activities align with approved procedures and specifications Support resolution of technical and operational issues during production Reporting & Documentation Prepare expediting reports, progress updates, and visit summaries Maintain accurate records of manufacturing status, inspections, and outstanding actions Provide clear communication regarding schedule impacts, quality concerns, and mitigation plans Quality & Compliance Support Support oversight of testing, inspections, and package readiness Ensure activities are performed in accordance with applicable quality and safety requirements Assist with documentation reviews and manufacturing traceability where required Requirements Essential Experience in expediting, supplier surveillance, manufacturing oversight, or inspection Strong background working with pumps, valves, actuators, or rotating equipment Experience within industrial manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, power generation, or similar sectors Ability to read and understand technical documentation and manufacturing schedules Strong reporting and communication skills Ability to work independently and interface directly with suppliers and project stakeholders Preferred Previous experience supporting highly regulated or critical infrastructure projects Background in nuclear, power generation, or large industrial EPC projects Mechanical inspection or QA/QC experience Familiarity with manufacturing and testing processes for pumps and valve systems Work Schedule & Flexibility Full-time preferred (40 hours/week) Part-time / reduced weekly schedules may also be considered Site presence expected regularly throughout the assignment Travel expenses can be supported where applicable
