Job Overview The Master Scheduler is a vital role responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination and execution of production schedules within the organization. This position involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing master production schedules that align with business objectives, customer demands, and resource availability. The Master Scheduler collaborates closely with cross-functional teams—including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and logistics—to balance priorities, mitigate delays, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Duties Develop and maintain comprehensive master production schedules to meet organizational goals and customer requirements. Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of schedules with resource availability and business priorities. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules proactively to address potential delays or conflicts. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements for scheduling processes. Coordinate with inventory management to optimize stock levels while minimizing waste or shortages. Communicate schedule updates effectively across departments to ensure seamless workflow. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies in scheduling activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and scheduling efficiency. Skills Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling principles, and manufacturing processes. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in scheduling software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Effective communication skills for collaboration across multiple departments. Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts or resource constraints promptly. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in planning documents and reports. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
