The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing patient appointments to support efficient operations and a positive patient experience. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and staff to schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient information, communicate scheduling details, and help ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care. As Scheduler, a typical day might include the following: Scheduling appointments based on physician orders and patient needs
Managing scheduling work queues and In Backet messages within EPIC
Verifying insurance and pre-authorizations have been obtained
Communicating appointment details with patients and addressing scheduling inquiries
Maintaing accurate patient information and documentation within the medical records

Preferably with clerical experience in health care and medical terminology. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with office equipment such as copier, fax machines. Must demonstrate willingness to learn.
