Full Job Description Director of Major Gifts:
The Jewish Home Foundation of North New Jersey, Inc. supports the vital work of the Jewish Home Family through community engagement and fundraising. The Jewish Home Family's mission is to make aging a vital and meaningful experience, understanding and meeting the unique needs of each individual.Job Summary:
The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for both annual leadership and major gifts, representing a substantial portion of the team's overall fundraising success. With an eye toward blended solicitations involving immediate-impact fiscal support, gift planning vehicles, such as legacy gifts, the Director of Major Gifts will also prioritize a portfolio of prospects and develop appropriate strategies to inspire aspirational philanthropy; and collaborate with board members and senior staff to find strategies that engage, inspire, and motivate major gift donors. Solicit gifts through face-to-face visits and direct/individual Zoom, phone, and email solicitations. This position reports to the Foundation Executive Director.THIS IS AN ON-SITE/IN OFFICE POSITION
Essential Functions:
Identify, cultivate, engage, steward, and solicit all levels of philanthropic gifts. Develop and cultivate financial support for the Foundation's Annual Giving Program, Planned Giving, Endowment, and Capital Campaign programs. Develop a close working relationship with board members and major gift prospects. Work with the Foundation team to create fundraising programs and special events including planning and tracking. Accumulate, maintain and provide statistical data as directed Prepare confidential reports, statistical and financial data as directed.Skills Required:
Proven success in planning fundraising, major gift events Strong knowledge of donor cultivation, donor services and solicitation and proven ability to solicit major gifts High integrity and diplomatic skills to function within a multifaceted organization Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel), Google (Docs and Drive), Razor's Edge or similarCRM 3- 5
