Full Job Description Duties:
Retrieve all incoming messages on a daily basis and follow up with patients/physicians immediately after message checked Verify all insurance coverages and pre-certifications prior to patients appointments Enter all patient data and insurance verification into the Radiology Log(shared drive) Makes sure that all scripts are obtained prior to patient's appointment. Ensures that scripts are valid and include dx code, procedure, and doctor information. Verifies all non-staff physicians through OIG and obtains proper license verification . Confirm all patient appointments for the next day and notify patients to bring co-pays if needed Printing and burning CD of images provided to patient and physicians Faxing imaging reports to referring physicians Printing daily schedules and provide them to the Radiology and Registration departments including department managers
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school Diploma required. College Degree preferred. 1 - 2 years of hospital setting experience in scheduling. Knowledge of all medical imaging modality exam"Preps" Knowledge of file room Knowledge of medical imaging terminology Knowledge of imaging modalities and procedures Knowledge of PACS, CareVue, MediTech
